Oh, isn't it typical! Having just informed Persephone that I was going to keep my plot bunnies under better control, and having an unpleasant purge of all but my favourite ones - I've been hit again.

ARGH! I'm already writing two (Banabloom and Borderland) with two more waiting (the Project and another Viggorli, with a third Viggorli on the horizon)...

when along come two more thoughts: so I'm putting them up for grabs. Comment and steal as you will.

1. Odysseus. And Helen. Why had I forgotten about their relationship? It's probably going to be ignored in the film, but isn't Odysseus one of Helen's suitors back before she marries Menalaus? In fact, isn't he the one who makes them all swear to aid Menalaus if Helen is stolen? (could be wrong, it's been a sinfully long time...)
And I know he's the one who finds Helen when Troy falls.
Come on, there's a story there. And it needn't be an actual pairing.

2. Aphrodite. Okay, so there's no evidence that she did, but I'm guessing Miss Sex Goddess probably spent a little bit of time with the man who gave her the golden apple...
Or, what about Hector? Surely Aphrodite would be interested in him? Does she stir up desire between out dear Trojan brothers?
Or is she jealous? Does she stir up trouble between them?

I do actually really want to write both of these. But I just can't see it happening for a while yet. So steal 'em if you want, just let me know. - especially [livejournal.com profile] cfeng - weren't you looking for bunnies that were a little different? Hector/Paris/Aphrodite?

At the time of his meeting with Aphrodite Paris isn't all that bratty. Inclined to indulge himself but not the spineless goon he turns into. Finding out he is a prince and getting a big welcome back into the bosom of the royal family is really what turns his head. After he runs of with Helen I imagine he became impossible.

That's true. I was only thinking of Paris as he becomes. But then, Aphrodite's still around then. Doesn't she rescue him from the battlefield when he's losing to Menalus?

Yes, Paris challenged Menelaus to fight a duel over Helene to end the war. The gods decide to interfere so the war god fights on Menelaus' side and Aphrodite decides to save Paris. She carries him over the walls of Troy, back to safety but gets cut in the process. I have read a version where she sits on Zeus' lap and whinges about what that nasty Ares has done :)
