Oh, isn't it typical! Having just informed Persephone that I was going to keep my plot bunnies under better control, and having an unpleasant purge of all but my favourite ones - I've been hit again.

ARGH! I'm already writing two (Banabloom and Borderland) with two more waiting (the Project and another Viggorli, with a third Viggorli on the horizon)...

when along come two more thoughts: so I'm putting them up for grabs. Comment and steal as you will.

1. Odysseus. And Helen. Why had I forgotten about their relationship? It's probably going to be ignored in the film, but isn't Odysseus one of Helen's suitors back before she marries Menalaus? In fact, isn't he the one who makes them all swear to aid Menalaus if Helen is stolen? (could be wrong, it's been a sinfully long time...)
And I know he's the one who finds Helen when Troy falls.
Come on, there's a story there. And it needn't be an actual pairing.

2. Aphrodite. Okay, so there's no evidence that she did, but I'm guessing Miss Sex Goddess probably spent a little bit of time with the man who gave her the golden apple...
Or, what about Hector? Surely Aphrodite would be interested in him? Does she stir up desire between out dear Trojan brothers?
Or is she jealous? Does she stir up trouble between them?

I do actually really want to write both of these. But I just can't see it happening for a while yet. So steal 'em if you want, just let me know. - especially [livejournal.com profile] cfeng - weren't you looking for bunnies that were a little different? Hector/Paris/Aphrodite?

1. Bang on to rights about Odysseus.

2. Personally I have always seen Aphrodite as a spoilt, petulant child. She is the personification of beauty but she seems to have no spine whatsoever and she acts like a brat most of the time.
I know from mythology that she had a bit of playtime with Aeneas. I think Paris would be too scared to have a roll in the hay with the godess of beauty.

i'm a mathmo remember? my imagination is lacking. pairings i can come up with easily, but it's more the situation that they are in and the whole plot that i can't do. supply me with a little more help and maybe i'll write something but just saying hector/paris/aphrodite doesn't help me much :(
