I spent the morning cleaning out the dusty costume cupboard at the school I no longer go to. Well okay, only since the exams finished.
The drama teacher called me and my friend and asked if we had time to go through the costumes. Everything was in old, crushed bin liners. It was quite a voyage of discovery. We hung and sorted and labelled for four hours, and brushed out the cupboard (it's actually a small room) and moved in the specifically rented costumes for this year's show (Sweet Charity). Now I have to round up the props. I run one of the wings during the three nights in the theatre. Currently there is a bit of panic because the acting isn't up to scratch and the performance is in less than two weeks. We also can have no practise time in the theatre due to school activities and the current performance in the theatre (It's the city theatre, so we use it for performances, but usually they let us reherse there a few times before the dress rehersal).

Oh, all so much fun, although the drama teacher/director is becoming a bit stressed!

Wow! What a glowing review. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. I am surprised myself at how well it turned out and how neatly it ended. As you will know if you have read the Author Notes, it really came from my experiences combined with those of a some friends. My Oliver is actually quite like OotP James - I'd never noticed. I suspect the guy he was based on would not be impressed by the analogy (honestly, men! It's nice that James improved)!
Thank you for sharing your feelings with me. You have really made my day :)

It was so incredibly realistic and didn't have that stereotypical ending where the girl gets the boy, and that's what I loved. I'm glad my comments made you happy!
