Yes I studied medieval history this year, but I don't know the answer to this, and more importantly I don't know where to look it up.

What do you call an earl's wife?

Count. Countess.
Duke. Duchess.
Lord. Lady.
Thegn. Lady.
Marquis. Marchioness.

Earl. ? (is it Lady?)

I don't suppose any of you have any ideas?

I have no idea what the difference is now, just in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. I'm not even a 100% sure what order they rank in now!
