Right. New fic. Viggorli AU set in Roman Britain.

Title:Borderland
Chapter One.
Rating:overall NC17
Pairing:Viggo/Orlando Other minor in specific chapter headings.
Summary: In the second century AD the Emperor Hadrian ordered the construction of a great wall across the north of England to mark the frontier of the Roman Empire. A string of forts were manned to separate the Romans and the barbarians, the protect the province from attack. It also served the purpose of frontier control, monitoring who entered and exited the empire.
The new commanding officer at Vercovicium is a young man from the south called Orlando.

I like the way you set the tone and the mood of the story. I come from a warm place so I always take a bit of a fancy to The North. And I like the atmosphere you've created around the fort, the walls and the community.
And I like the little details about the hooting owl, the cat in search of mice and Ian's snoring.
Ian, how can a Viggorli go w/o you;p
he inclined his head with a fatherly wink - sounds familiar?
The thing I like the best about your Orlando is that he knows what he's doing. He's not intimidated but just feeling the right amount of thrill to stay sober and do a good job.
