Okay, have I missed some fandom problem with Starless Night?
Because yesterday lots of my flist were on the nominees list. And now it's all changed. Did you turn down the nominations? What's up?

Well I know very little of last season - mostly used the nominations page as a way to find things I hadn't read, and that was it. It does seem like they've tried to be more fair this year in making it all by vote. But to be honest I'm not convinced that works any better.

Exactly the problem I have with it. It stops being about the quality of the story and becomes about who wrote them. A popularity contest.

I have fixed it (I hope) and am working on approving nominations now. So if your nomination has disappeared, it should be back up soon. I'm also working on a list of last season's nominees. It seems shifty to me :( I dunno how it works really, though. Or how certain fics get in there. ALl I know is that there were a lot of fics in there yesterday that deserved stuff, and they aren't there anymore. I understand that they can't have the entire fandom in there, but eesh... there were some that really deserved recognition (mostly Viggorli ones). Anyways, I'm blathering
