Thank you to everyone who was so nice while I was stressed sending my friend my fic.
AS I replied to some of you, he liked it and asked for more.

So I sent him slash. I send him Strangers at some unearthly hour last night and he stayed up until 4am to read it and then emailed me. I think he was more amused than anything else. He certainly doesn't sound disgusted.

He did however make snide comments about Mills and Boon.

I'm trying to decide what to send him next...

It sounds very amusing. But a bit boring. I agree totally about the characters in slash. I love the depth of emotion.

I feel very lucky to have found this crowd, I've stumbled across slash sites that were appalling, and yet there are people who can actually write as well. It's amazing what a difference that makes. < /sarcasm>

And then there's the appeal of slash in that it has our pretty boys in it. Mills and Boon can't possibly compare.

I'm sorry about the Mills and Boon comment. Looking back at what I sent, it was pretty unfounded. It was more in reference to the het one rather that Strangers. I haven't read any, and so am also going on stereotypes, but think slash wouldn't really be their thing. I came close to not putting it in, but decided to do so as I was pretty thought you'd take it in the tongue-in-cheek manner it was intended.
