I just read an article about the part Aragon played in the Hundred Years War. I read Aragon as Aragorn just about every time. Go on, admit it, you did in the first sentence I typed too!

I did. I had to do a double take when you said "I read Aragon as Aragorn".

*grin*

You can imagine how distracting that was when I was trying to study!

*lol* i've done that! i saw the name in a book i was reading last year I thought for a moment you had made a typo until you said "as Aragorn"

You mean Aragorn didn't fight in the Hundred Years War? Well, there goes History as I knew it...

Hell, I'm already re-writing history from a slash perspective. We can have Aragorn in everything if we want!

It made the article take about twice as long as it should have done. Oh the distraction.

Oh, please! But not with Orlando, he's mine.

Aragorn/Orlando is something I've not actually read *g*

Did you mean to give me ideas for Orlando/Legolas and Viggo/Aragorn? Because you did.

If I gave you those ideas, they were entirely accidental. Not to mention somewhat schizophrenic....

somewhat schizophrenic....

Very, I'd say. But appealing in a bizarre and amusing way.

...i also came across the name "Elijah" in a history textbook once (referring to some obscure person who i don't really care about) and i couldn't go on with the passage. I just sat there, staring at the name out of context, watching everything i know about Elijah run through my head at lightning fast speed and drooling.

We are pathetic aren't we?

I had no idea how many Orlando's there were in the world, but now they're popping up everywhere in my reading. There's even a guy called Orlando who's written a history of Russia.
And I was looking at a medieval manuscript on Weds and there was an illumination of Elijah's ascension to heaven. I stared blankly at the page for so long that the librarian made a comment about the fact that it was a beautiful book and yeah it was actually. but that's not the point
