It's all going wrong. I've never written such a bad essay, and an essay has never progressed so slowly. I'm not going to hang around online or I'll never get it done, but please rec me something to read as a celebration once I'm done!

Something old and favourite or something new you've just discovered/written. I don't mind. And the pornier the better.

xx

You probably read those already, but I'm gonna rec anyway...

See Under: Clue, Getting A series, by [livejournal.com profile] abundantlyqueer. You can find it in her LJ. You don't have to search very long. Just go back a few pages if you can't find it, I'll link it for you.

And "The Ultimate Birthday Present". You can find the links here.

Thanks! I've read 'Clue', but think I'll go read it again!

UBP was strange but very enjoyable! Thanks so much for the recs! Amazing how much more productive my afternoon was once I promised myself slash when I'd finished!

Also - beee-ooutiful icon.

UBP is strange. And at first I wasn't quite sure what to think of the concept. But it's written so well, and the emotions of her characters are so... real, that I love the series. :) Think I'll go read it again tonight actually.

It was good. Nice and original, and I liked the way it moved slowly and built up so that you could see what was coming (no pun intended!)but without making it feel like reading the rest would be pointless.

Think I'll go read it again tonight actually.

I love that feeling of revisiting something you love. Have you read [livejournal.com profile] chaosmanor's Perchance series? Because that's the fic that brings out that feeling in me the most. (Besides being completely and blindingly beautiful)

Oh God yes, I love that story! Have to read that one again soon. :)

I love it. And I love that she's still writing it. The update this week was right when I was having a crap day and it just cheered me up so much!

Hold on... wait a minute.... I thought it was just a two-parter. There are more parts? OMG tell me where they are! I totally missed out on those!

Re:

Go read them now!! I promise they get better and better, good as the first part is, it improves. There are links to all of them (including the Sean/Viggo prequel) near the top of [livejournal.com profile] chaosmanor's LJ, but "Yesterday", the fifth chapter (there are seven I think, plus the prequel) is friends locked because of it's subject matter. If you post and ask I'm sure she'll add you - she did me.

I'll go try and find them. :)

*sigh* The links don't work and I'm confused about the order of the fics. 'cause I followed another link and the order was different.

Okay, I've just realised that I posted the reply with the links as a reply to my own comment, so you prob won't get notification of it. But it's there below this one.

Okay:

To Every Thing The Preqel, but read it at the end, or at least half way through for best effect.

Perchance (ch 1)
Waking Soules (2) I'm guessing this is where you reached.
Angels and Mortals(3) (het content as well as slash)
Undiscover'd Country(4) (possibly my favourite, although it's hard to tell)
Yesterday (5) is locked, but here's the link anyway, for later.
The Tumtum Tree(6)
November Song More het again.

I hope that helps - if one of my links is fucked up then its because I was typing fast and haven't double checked them, but you can get from one to another easily because she links at the top of each chapter - this at least gives you the order.

(I've now got a huge smile on my face. I love sharing slash!)

No problem! Like i said, I get delight in knowing you're going off to read something I love so much. (High contender for favourite fic in this and any fandom, in fact)

Look!
[livejournal.com profile] chaosmanor's written a prequel to the prequel! You found these just as she is updating speedily - good timing!

:) Just spreading the love!

But seriously, I do love your series to bits (as you might have noticed!) so I want as many other people to experience it as possible.

and I'm working away on number ten, honest.

I'm happy to wait because I know it will be worth it. I'd rather it was exactly as you wanted than hurried. Especially since I know you're working on the conversion too.
