Oh the evils of studying again. Once more the book on my reading list doesn't exist and I'm so fed up that I've emailed my supervisior about it!

Please rec something to cheer me up because I'm far too annoyed to work on my own fics right now!

I read a really great fanfic the other week here (http://www.thedarkarts.org/authors/es/SIL.html). It's called Someone is Laughing, and is a very different take on how magic would interfere in the life of a Muggle man.

Out of the fic world ... Did you ever read Susan Cooper's Dark is Rising series? I never did until recently, and I really enjoyed them. Plus, they're short, so they're quick reads. (Start with Under Sea Over Stone.)

Thanks, I'll check that out!

Yeah I've read and enjoyed them (although I find Over Sea, Under Stone the weakest of the five). I know the area of 'The Grey King' very well. I think that's my favourite one.

(Will/Bran slash? No I cannot do this to myself, I loved those books before slash! LOL)

Whenever I need to be cheered up I turn to Bagenders. There's always a story there that will make me laugh.

:) thanks!

(I was cheered up by a visit from my friend Hugh in the end, but more laughter is never a bad thing!)
