I'm rowing in the Emma Sprints novice eights race today. It's fancy dress, and we are the Von Trapp family (in clothes made of curtains) from 'The Sound of Music'. Our cox is dressed as a nun (yes, our male cox).

Actually, we're just insane. It's to lighten the fact that these are trials for the novice boats for later in the term. Fairbairns, the important race, is on Dec 4th and we have both Emma Sprints and Clare Novices before then.

Also - it is pouring with rain and I suspect the racing is actually going to be miserable!
