You aren't going to have Non-Con from me ever. Ever. I'll write pretty much anything at all, but at no point will I write that. You are unlikely to get BDSM either, since I don't really know what I'm talking about and so I'm not going to do it. Mild bondage maybe, that's about it. Nothing makes me click out of a fic faster than non-con other than non-con and then the victim loves it. Just NO.

i know there are some people on my flist who do, so i have to say it just so they know it's a line i don't cross. personal feelings go some way to explaining this, but w/ever.

that's good ;) bdsm doesn't work for me. well, except in certain circumstances, but w/ever. so true. SO TRUE>

you wouldn't have! they were amazingly nice. i thought i would have. i did, after all, call arthur/bradley dim. however indirectly. i nearly didn't ask the question but then i did and it was awesome but he hates me now :( well, he said he wasn't talking to me and then he did so i bet we're alright, actually ;))

Yeah, and I've seen it in the comms and not read it. Even when it is written by an author I admire. I need to know you are a qualified psychologist in sexual trauma or something before I will read non-con by you. I have seen it done well once in however many zillion years I have been in fandom.

OH OH OH! I just had this insane idea. Did you start doing your collaborative fic?

DID YOU EVER READ THIS PLOT-IT-YOURSELF TYPE BOOKS WHEN YOU WERE A KID? I think I had some Famous Five ones back in the day. Where at the bottom of the page you get to decide if they do a or b. And if it's a then you turn to page 378, and if it's b then you go to page 45 or whatever. HOW WELL WOULD THAT WORK ONLINE? with links? It would be hugely complicated to write and post and would probably need a comm of its own and a team of writers to cover all the branching possibilities.

WHY do I always have giant ideas? I need to rein myself in. And, y'know, actually finish the fics I started.

OMG. THIS IS JUST LIKE WE SHARED A ~WAVELENGTH~.

I WAS THINKING OF DOING THIS OMG. I APPROVE! i wanted to do one with links and i would have hosted it on my website and there would be IMAGES as well, like some of the entries in the books used to have and OMG IT COULD BE A COLLABORATION. THIS WOULD BE AWESOME. like, someone writes the basic story and everytime there's a confliction, like, someone else could write like, a short!fic or a long!fic depending on where they want to take it, but within limits.

and then it all comes together and we could have like, four or five different endings? idek. OMG I WANT TO DO THIS.

We'd need to have a basic story outline with alternates. And then divide up who writes which bits. Maybe get some other people to write sections too? IT WOULD BE SO FANTASTIC!

Yes, we would. Should we make it Merlin/Arthur? Or keep it friendship!only to make it user friendly? I don't even know.

OMG. It should be an awesome plot. and we should like, PM only a few people. Like five or so? so that gives us seven alternative plots? Does that sound workable? It should be post-finale, obviously, and maybe we could have different options? like the MAIN PLOT is something like, merlin telling arthur (which gives us option so short-writing it where he tells arthur, arthur has the choice of saving merlin or going to his daddy, and when he goes to uther merlin dies) hence one death? and so on and so forth? like that?

so that main plot is Merlin's revelation of magic because something happens, and then in the end ... idk. but that should be it? or something else?

We could make it so that one strand is Merlin/Arthur, one is friendshippy, one is, IDK, Merlin/Morgana? Depending on what outcome you choose. Like, they get together in one and are happy, but don't in another and it's all angsty, and Merlin dies in a third one?

We should have many choices. So the first one decides maybe if Merlin tells Arthur about his magic. And the second one is how Arthur reacts. And the third one is something else. So it ends up lots of ways, and some of them connect back up so there aren't actually millions of endings, but you might just have different middles? (we'd need a diagram to work it out probably)

We should probably have a small group of people to write it and then make sure it's all posted properly and all the links work, then we should post something to journals etc telling people so that they can come read it and try it out!
