Hi, darling Flist...

I seem to recall that several of you volunteered (fools!) to be sounding boards/readers/betas for the Epic Fic of Doom. It's going very slowly, but I'm going to have a first chunk done this week and I'd love for someone to agree to have a look at it (at this stage it really doesn't have to be a proper beta) and let me explain at you where I'm thinking it's going.

Just for info: it's the first of a trilogy which runs pretty much up to and through Arthur's reign. Obviously I'm intending to incoporate bits of the legend. It's Merlin/Arthur overall, but has various pairings along the way (in this one, most noticeably Merlin/Morgana/Arthur). It also will contain NC17 scenes (het and slash) so please don't volunteer if that makes you uncomfortable.

PS. Even if you aren't volunteering please nag me about this fic. I'm good at starting long fics and then getting distracted by pretty shiny other ideas along the way...

Would you be willing to be the person who reads through a complete-ish version? I have several people willing to read chunks as I go along and make comments, but I'd quite like someone who can read it as a whole and tell me if it works/makes sense etc.

REAL JOB. I'm working for teh government, same as everyone else in this dust bowl passing for a city ;). In a fairly unexciting department the name of which I nevertheless probably shouldn't go typing online lest I turn up in google searches, for that would be bad.

Heh, I actually quite like the city, in the sense that I really do like jumped-up-small-towns-pretending-to-be-cities. And everything's all laid out nice, with lots of space, and there's no humidity. And hardly any traffic. And people in general seem much friendlier than Sydney people, AND there's xxlucyferxx who is letting me stalk her, and my forthcoming housemate is lovely, and as of friday there will be tahira_saki, who is going to visit the Holy Grail pub with me. So all up, Canberra's not so bad. I just like insulting it...

It's currently bogged down in Plot and Telmarine politics. Prunaprismia is lying through her teeth but may be awesome anyway. Aslan is being suspiciously quiet (we all know his normal routine is MARCH IN, ROAR, AND THEN DECLARE SOMEONE KING, but he's letting Caspian do the talking. Because I want Caspian to talk).
