Merlin Prompt Post

There are two types of prompt that I would like:

1. Word prompts.

ie: turbulence
luminescence
frogs

2. Scenario prompts.

ie: Uther is Merlin's father
Magic is not forbidden
Merlin has wings


In both cases, this is not a fic request because I can't promise that what I write will bear more than a tenous connection to what you said (although a scenario prompt is bound to slightly more...) but they are starting points for me to think about.

(note: I don't really want to write modern AUs of any kind at this point. AUs insofar as the canon has been altered in some way are fine)

Merlin figures out/accidentally spells himself some form of telepathy or telempathy and hijinks ensue. (my favorite trope in this fandom tends to be pining!Arthur and oblivious!Merlin, with a bit of denying/jealous/possessive!Arthur for good measure, so any scenario where that can be incorporated it would be cool!)

also, i see all these modern!AUs and some Merlin-time-travel ones, and it makes me wonder--what would happen if the boys (or the girls, or all four of them) popped up in a modern setting? (blame some magic device+accidental spell.) would they all immediately look at Merlin? not realize that he's magic without him confessing and freaking out? how long before they figure out how to get back? what would they discover first and what would they remember? etc etc.
