Her friends kept adding me to instant messenger because our email addresses must be so similar. Last night I had a discussion with one of them, trying to get to the bottom of it, and possibly, the difference is that this woman has a double underscore between her first and last names (which seems incredibly stupid to me) whereas I have one. Understandably, many of her friends haven't noticed the duplication. And, even when confronted with the picture of my icon, they didn't recognise that it wasn't her. The girl last night said "oh, but you're sure you aren't from Toronto? Because the girl in the picture looks just like my friend".
Oh, see, my Doppelgaeger and I just *look* alike to a sacry degree, but our names are different. So we're a kind of half twinsies. I can't imagine if we had the same name. We certainly wouldn't be living together! logistically I can't imagine that would work either!
