Does anyone have any recommendations of good fanfiction from either of these fandoms? I found a couple of each today (accidentally - I never intended to look for more fandoms!) and have whet my appetite for more. I tried simple google searches, but didn't turn up much that was good. So I turn, as always, to you.

EDIT: I ought to have been clearer - what I'm interested in specifically in Narnia is fics of the Pevensie children's time in Narnia at the end of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, or of their time with Caspian. In The Dark is Rising, unsurprisingly, I'm looking for Will/Bran.

Ooh, that's a start. Thank you.

You're welcome...

Hmm. And I think I've found the group I used to belong to - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dir-slash/, which is attached to Arcadia. I can't believe you haven't checked that out yet, though, as it was the first thing to come up when I Googled Will/Bran slash, so this probably won't help you find anything new. Sorry!

Yes, I found that, thanks. And although I suspect it is another dark-haired/light-haired pairing, your icon is most appropriate.

Argh - I'm sorry for spamming you muchly, but Bonibaru (again - the lady has good taste and a wide variety of fandoms) has a couple of recs here: http://www.somedistantgalaxy.com/otherfic.htm.

Hey, spam away, I'm not complaining. I may even have to go back and read DiR itself now. And, you know, maybe write something.

I'm already writing Narnia fic - and that's [livejournal.com profile] beizy's fault.

*subtly encourages reading and - especially - writing urges*

I know what you mean, though. I can't wait to get home (tomorrow, yay!) so that I can finally reread all the books that have been nagging at me for the past few weeks, including Narnia. I refuse to go see the movie without rereading the books first.

Hope you find something you either want to read and/or write for both fandoms soon!

(Oh, and the icon is from Fake, Dee and Ryo...)

Hehe. I know just how that feels. I saw the new Harry Potter film and desperately needed to write about Cedric, but didn't have my novels in Cambridge with me. Now I'm home, my fickle brain has found newer loves. I re-read LWW before seeing the film (which is great fun, although very childish), and although I didn't actively seek out fic, I saw recs on my flist... and yeah.

I have to confess that it is not slash I am writing, but Peter/Susan. You can run away screaming if you want. My usual beta did, before returning to tease me mercilessly. But I figure that as they grew up, their memories faded, and they lived together as King and Queen...

And yes, Bran and Will. Because I'm amazed that never really clicked in my head before. It's so obvious.

Heh. I had a very similar reaction to Goblet of Fire - wanting to reread the book, first of all, and then being seduced by the shiny of LWW so that I'll probably ignore HP till next holidays.

You can run away screaming if you want.

Not a chance. It makes sense, really, if you think about it, which, obviously, you have. I always wondered why no spouses were mentioned for the adult King and Queen. And Peter and Susan always complemented one another so well. (But if you embark on Edmund/Lucy I may have to back away ever so slightly...)

Bran and Will are so very *right* together. I came by that realisation a few years ago and felt like I'd been hit by the biggest clue bus in town. However, the lack of a good-sized fandom made me content myself with compulsively rereading Will/Bran into the books rather than finding it on the net - here's hoping you have better luck!

Hehe, I know. Although I'm aiming to get the Cedric one done, then that might be me and HP done for another while.

And yes, it does make sense, I thought. Neither of them ever seem to look for anyone else although there's a mention somewhere that Susan had suitors she turned away. Or maybe I imagined that.

And no fear of Edmund and Lucy. *shudders*

Yes, I hope I have good luck. If not I may have to re-read and content myself by contributing to the small fandom. It's odd there's so little since it makes so much sense.
