I have come to the conclusion that normal people at normal universities do not write as many essays as we do. I have a friend studying history who writes two essays in a twelve week term. I write eight in eight weeks. Which of us is the less usual?

EDIT: thanks folks. It actually does help to know that some of you have done worse and emerged the other side successful.

That makes me feel better. It just seems at the moment that I hand one in then pick up the first of the books for the next. with zilch in between.

Oh, hang on, that's because I do get about an hour. The hour between submitting it and having the supervision on it. Ugh.

However, once slave resistance in the antebellum south is DONE then it's okay. For a little bit.

Hehe. My brain isn't doing too much better. I think I need breakfast, that will help. And, realistically, I should disconnect my internet cable. But then I would have no lifeline.

My nursing degree was five untis a semester, an assessable piece of work for each unit, each week. complete meltdown.

Hmm, that might explain why I have no problems writing vast quantities of fic.

I am, as ever, in awe. And I just saw you've posted. Which isn't going to help the essay get written but it's sure as hell going to put a smile on my face.

And we had two 16 week semesters a year. 16 weeks was a bloody long time to sustain that sort of pace.

I dunno. When I was getting my journalism degree, it wasn't unusual for me to write 3 or more papers/articles a week each semester. And that was on top of my nonjournalism class assignments. So I think it's pretty standard to write at least one a week.
