Does anyone else ever come across things from their childhood and have a great desire to fanfic them? I just found my "American Girl: Felicity" books and have an unimaginable urge to write Felicity/Ben Davidson porn.

Oh yes. I just recently reread a German series that takes place in a boarding school in an old castle - sort of Harry Potter without magic. But lots of interesting options for fanfic.
Seems somehow not quite right, though. I mean, slashing my childhood memories?

What sort of story is this American Girl? Never heard of it round here.

It's a series of short stories about girls from American history. There's a colonial one, a pioneer, a victorian and so on. Since my day they've explanded and I think there's a native girl and a spanish american and so on as well. It's also become a much bigger company that sells loads of stuff beyond the books and the dolls.

Felicity. I only dug her and her books out of the attic because I'm studying Colonial women at the moment. It seemed appropriate.

Well, at 20 I am pretty much the baby of my flist. Which is kind of strange.

I have Felicity and my sister has Kirsten. Not lame, I just, to my roommate's complete delight, had my mum send Felicity and all her clothes to me at university (I'm studying colonial women, so there is a tiny excuse) and I re read the books today, as you can see. So yes, she's had four clothing changes in the last twenty four hours because Catharine adores her and is having great fun.

I don't remember enough about Samantha to tell you if there is AG porn possible. But oh yes, Kirsten wanted it. But Felicity wanted it more. And Ben is so lovely. She's blatently in love with him and him with her - the breeches? The ball (*hearts him*) and her looking after him when injured... yes, expect some "Ben comes back to finish his apprenticeship" porn, coming soon.

And yes, age nine I picked the Colonial doll. Age twenty and I am still studying that period of American history. Figures.
