[livejournal.com profile] shrinetolust, [livejournal.com profile] londinensa, [livejournal.com profile] perseph2hades - HELP.

*fucking wants*

It doesn't help that I've been reading about John Smith and his life, his records and how stories of him have become legend. I'm so far gone with desire for this film now that I don't actually care that it looks like they've gone for the mythologised version rather than the historical one.

And of course there's no release date yet. And add months and months onto whenever they do decide to allow time for it to bleed across to this side of the Atlantic. GAH.

You know I think it was easier in pre-internet days then we didn't have all these images to stir us up I know that the HOV pics have an unfortunate effect on me - I'm NOT a patient person *grumbles*

Aaaaaaaaaargh!!! just got round to watching trailer...

How did I not know was Terence Malik film? It looks gorgeous like 'Thin Red Line' which I hated (war film) but was beautiful to look at (err except for the actual fighting scenes)

I know, I know. I want to see the film more because I actually want to see the *film* than anything else. I want to see how he recreates the period, how he photographs it.

I know the feeling.

I also know I should stop looking up films I know I'm going to desperately want to see. But I can't help it...

Ugh, that's SO FAR AWAY. I want it NOW. Right when I'm studying it. I am being forced to think about Virginia 1607 all day every day (or it feels like it) and then they parade pretty pictures that are tantalisingly far away. ARGH>

Wow. They did not waste time setting up the site! I don't know how I'm going to survive waiting for this movie. If nothing else, I want to see if they convey a feeling of being in Virginia in 1607.. that would be so fascinating to experience. Christopher Plummer looks fab. Colin Farrell is sweet candy. I guess they don't have any usable images of Christian Bale yet? Huh.

*writhes*

That's what's driving me mad. Yeah, there's nice eye candy (and they do seem to have Bale hidden...) but to be honest I would be desperate for this film even if they didn't. It's so hard to wait when I have to think and read and write about the very topic and I know the film has been made but that it's nine months away or something.

I almost wish I hadn't noticed its existance. Then it would have been a nice surprise closer to the time and wouldn't haunt my thoughts so much!
