My sister is coming down to visit me tomorrow and among the things I've asked her to bring is the folder with the notes and research for Borderland and Rubies. Now all I need is the time to sit and write them.

And the KOH slash too. Getting that right matters a lot to me and I haven't done all the necessary reading yet. But it's starting to take shape in my brain. In fact, it's the thing that's niggling to be written.

I adore that you care so much about getting it right! *hugs*

It means it takes about five times as long, but yeah I do care. If I'm going to put my time into writing these things I need them to be worth it. And with KOH it's doubly troublesome because the film isn't out yet. So I know there will be inconsistencies because of the editting of the film, but there's nothing I can do about that. I'll just work with what I've got.

So many people wouldn't care about it enough to go to all that trouble. I think it's great, especially as I love that time period. Plus, *g* I've been to most of the places associated with the crusades here. I'm not hoping for too much accuracy on Ridley Scott's part, so it's nice to know that even though he stands to gain from the movie and you don't, you care! *even more hugs*

I spent two terms last year exclusively studying the medieval period: politically, socially and economically. So I have as a base for anything I add. And I have the film script which I couldn't write the FPS without. I've written the one trilogy already and, to be honest, there wasn't much "history" in that, but it was a very tight time period. The whole thing only covers about two days. So I'm going to write something broader I think.

Two terms? *whistles in appreciation* I've never studied it, just been really curious about it. Now I'm sorry that I don't have pictures of some of the places I've been to for you, I think you might have found them interesting.

You have the script? *tries not to flail* But how? I'm so tempted to ask to see it, but no, I wanna be a clean slate when I watch the movie. ;)

I'll look forward to your KoH slash! And thanks for reminding me that I'm not done reading your fics... *hugs and goes over there*

I'd love to see pictures, that would be really helpful.

I have the script from Persephone. Don't broadcast that fact. And I'm not sharing it, I'm afraid, I've promised to keep it to myself.

And yes, there are three FPS (A Candle Left Burning is the first part. Links from one to the next inside) and three RPS (Storm, Heat and Reflections which aren't a series particularly, but could be)

*wonders* maybe I can do a search for you on an Israeli search engine, see if I can come up with pictures...

Your secret safe with me! And I completely understand. ;)

A worrying thought came to me after I posted here. Think the FPS would spoil the movie for me? I'll trust whatever you say and if you think it won't, I'll go print 'em right now for Saturday's ride to Jerusalem.

There are spoliery bits in them and the third and final one has a quite big spoiler.

I don't think the first two have anything that you won't learn a few minutes into the film. Just a bit about the characters and the first plotish bit that starts the story off. As I said, the third one does have a spolier.

It's up to you, I won't be offended if you choose not to read the FPS until after the film, or choose to read only some. But I can't guarantee that after the film they will be very accurate.

*pouts* So I guess no reading the third until after I see the movie...

But I will read the first two. Thank you, hun! *hugs*
