I'm listening to John Humphries talking to Tony Blair. I am so fucking glad I live in a country where a reporter can calmly and intelligently challenge - repeatedly challenge - the Prime Minister.

Blair has avoided a Humphries interview for four years, for exactly this reason.

I'd love to ship Humphries out to the USA for a couple of days and just watch the politician's faces.

I've never listened to John Humphries, but I'd love it if he'd come here and interviewed the presidential candidates. Maybe he'd actually get them to answer the damn questions asked, not skirt around the issues and get away with it like the candidates do with the interviewers here.

That's exactly why I love him. He's so tenacious. He interrupts politicians and says, "Would you please answer the question?"

Makes me want to cheer every time he does it!

Keep an eye on Fox and MSNBC. They're usually pretty good about forcing people to answer questions, particularly whatshisface on Hardball.
