I've decided I was born in the wrong month. I've been talking to my friends about going back to university and most of them are going in the next couple of weeks. I knew I'd be the last to go because Camb doesn't start until October, but still...

So my birthday, the 24th of Sept, will be after my friends go back and before I do. Leaving me here without home friends or uni friends.

And because I live such a crappy distance from all of them it's not like they can pop over for the day either.

my 21st was horrible too, i really feel for you. i was the *only* person left in my dorm because school had ended and people either weren't staying for the summer or lived close enough that they didn't have to pay for interim housing, the only one of my friends in new york, 3000 miles away from my family. depressing even to look back on it. anyway after that long, pedantic, maudlin explanation - i hope that your birthday turns out better than you think it will. anyway it should be cool on livejournal :)

Yeah. It's only my 20th and at least this has given me a year to plan so that I don't have this problem next year.

I'm sure I'll have fun, and I suppose it gives me an excuse to celebrate twice: once before my friends leave and once when I get to uni.
