is unbelievable.

The New York Times online today has coverage of Bush. Okay, granted, that was bound to be the headline. Then all stories about America.

The "international" pages cover North Korea, Malaysia and headscarves in France.

Nothing about the seige in Russia.

American press is not unbelievable.
It's evil.

It's amazing sometimes, it really is.

You didn't happen to see the ITV News coverage of it over lunchtime?

No. I saw some on some sky channel while I was at the gym and then I had the radio 4 news on at lunchtime

One of the ITV reporters was live inside the school, no video footage, but he was on the phone (or whatever); it was his cameraman who discovered the 100 or so bodies in the gym, and that reporter who broke the news. It really turned me, and news stories tend to have very little effect on me that way.

It's totally horrific. Just hearing each updated bulletin. It just gets worse and worse.

I wonder if this is a remnant of the cold war. The USA really does not seem to give a hoot what happens in Russia.

I have no idea. It just seems so heartless.

Had something similar happened in the States then the press would have made so much noise you'd think that the third world war had broken out. You're right, it is heartless, but what can you expect from a country that has George Bush jr. as its president?

America is very self centred.

I did see something about the seige on CNN yesterday, but yeah, mostly about bloody Republican convention.

Blaaaaa.

And this surprises you? Sadly, the NYT is one of the better sources. If I ever want to know about anything in the rest of the world, I just go to the bbc.com.
