There's no helping some people...
Sep. 1st, 2004 09:52 pmThe woman I babysit for has to go to London quite often for her work. It's quite a long journey and she often strikes up conversations with people on the train. She just told me about a time (I don't know when this happened, sometime in the last few months) when she was talking to a nice man she vaguely recognised. On arriving in London, that evening, she went out with him for a drink before meeting the friends she was staying with (her meeting was in the morning). She turned down his dinner invitation.
The man was John Rhys Davies.
And she, on discovering this, said to him, "Oh, well, to be honest, I didn't really enjoy Lord of the Rings."
