Fandom brain takeover

I was looking at the manuscript and rare book exhibition in the library here (at home, not Camb) and came across a first edition of Lady Chatterley's Lover.

Now, did the historian in me marvel at this because there were only 1000 first copies privately published because Lawrence couldn't find acceptance for his book?

Or was I impressed by the fact that this was not only a rare first edition, but a signed first edition?

No. My brain went straight to ..............naked Sean....hmmmmmm mode. Oh dear.

I think Bean really ruined all Lawrence lovers anywhere. And I think I know at least *counts* 25 people who would think straight away of the same thing! ;) (yes, me included)
