Okay. Here is a newer and slightly more interesting version. I like the colours muchly.
For now, I am happy, although I may fiddle with it again now that I know how (and merci beaucoup to trimalynn for that!)

Also - inspired by the funny dream, I watched the cast commentary over FotR today. Some of it was fascinating and some of it was just plain hysterical. Orlando Bloom is such a fanboy of EVERYONE he worked with, and the script and the landscape and everything. The hobbits must have been awful to direct - although the sound like they had a great time. Anyone for a game of Cup? or Tig? (No, you can't tig a double tag, Elijah).
Christopher Lee and Ian McKellan just know SO much, and they can talk about their craft with such precision.
And, um... they hint about 'those Helm's deep outtakes' of Orlando - with great hillarity. If only there was some way of getting our hands on those...

My friends and I used to practically have the actor commentary memorized. Sad, I know, but there it is. My favorite part (aside from Tig and Cups--those damn double tigs!--was Orlando's Lembas' commercial--"one small bite can fill the stomach of a grown man!"

Of course. I could make a VERY long list of favourite comments actually. I liked 'The guy who can do everything can't kayak' and the fact they you just KNEW that the story about the boat capsizing was going to come up again, and it did.
My one wish is that Viggo Mortensen had given comments too - he sounds so intense about his character and that would have been really interesting.

I know--it was very odd that he didn't comment. He probably had a scheduling conflict or something. Do you think they were all in the same room when they recorded the commentary? The hobbit's definitely were, but we wondered about Orlando and Ian and Christopher whatshisface.

I had this discussion with my sister (with whom I watched it - obviously) and we came to the conclusion that a few of the others may have been together because a couple of times it sounded as if Orlando or Ian were responding to the previous comment. Sometimes, especially Orlando, started with 'Yeah...' but it might have just been the way it was editted. I don't think the hobbits were with any of the others simply because I think that had they been they would have talked to them (even to the level of ELijah's 'Hey, was that umm in unison?')and also I don't think they would have talked ABOUT them in quite the same way. It didn't sound like the kind of things you'd say when the person was in the room - that goes especially for some of the comments about Orlando. I'm sure had he been there with them there would have been more direct teasing. Whether, say Christopher Lee and Ian McKellan were in the same room it is hard to tell because they might not have interacted that much on a commentary anyway.

I hate to say it ... but I think the commentary was almost more entertaining than the movie. Almost. (And I liked the movie.)

I'm curious if the second movie will have commentary, and how it's gonna measure up...
