Because term finished a week ago. I've been here for all the garden parties and balls etc this week, but most people left yesterday. I'm going tomorrow.
It's just, much as I love my family, going home makes me feel like a daughter again while here I'm an independent person. And home is so boring in comparison to here. And, snobby as it sounds, the people there are, by and large, so stupid. Here I have fascinating people to talk to who live lives so very different to my own and just know such interesting things.

Ah..sounds like fun though.
And I do understand about the 'family' thing *hugs you tight* I think we all get like that once freedom hits us.
Oh it was. I've had a fabulous week! And the weather has been completely glorious. I've eaten more strawberries and drunk more Pimm's this week than in the entire rest of my life I think.
Reminds me of a conversation we had a while back about use of derogatory terms for women.
(Like a woman sharing her sex with unbridled abandon is unethical and wrong and dirty and, well, slutty, whereas if a man does the same he's considered, well, Colin Farrell. There is something very wrong in this world)
Just seen HP. Really enjoyed it but some things annoyed me (what a surprise, I'm complaining again!).
I'm too lazy to write anything properly so I'll just leave a few comments here. I can't place why but Lupin annoyed me whilst being fairly close to my imagination. Why wasn't Thewlis made to shave that moustache? The wolf was wrong. Radcliffe, Grint and Watson were all better in this one than the others although each managed to get on my nerves at some point. It's been a while since I saw the other two but from what I remember, this has more life, more vibrance in it. It's a pity the next one is not out for a while, and nor is it Cuaron.

Re: What our fic bunnies do while we sleep...
Date: 2004-06-19 03:05 pm (UTC)I do indeed, although I can't connect up my laptop. So here I sit trying to remember my way around my home computer. It's all very strange!
