Love your icon.

I said to my friend just over a week ago that I'd never seen Sharpe. She went out and got the DVD and we watched the first episode that night. And the next the next night. A few days later she informed me she'd been on touch with friends and the others were being sent. We now have thirteen of the fourteen episodes (Sharpe's Mission being the only one missing, but since it's late on we've got time to get hold of it) and we've seen five - the sixth will be tonight.

I had an exam this morning, but we still watched Sharpe last night. It's really fun, there are five or six who watch them all, one guy is a blues rifleman and two of them have seen all the episodes before. And three of us just drool over Sean. We have running snarky and innuendo comments throughout the episode, overlaid with comments on the historical accuracy and the types of shot used and all sorts of things.

I'm now a Sharpe addict.

Which one was it? Might not be one I've seen. But yeah: oh Sharpe!. We find it amusing that every woman on the program gets a 'moment' when she first sees him.

I've not seen that one yet. But we've got it. We started at the beginning and haven't got that far yet.

I'd need a lot longer than a moment. But then there always seems to be a convenient barn full of hay nearby for Sharpe and current woman. So I'm sure that it'd work out okay :P

He must have secret servants who carry around a barn full of hay for him. ;)

Yup. The number of times one of us has said, "Bet there's hay in that box," or "But, what? Where's the hay?", or "Aha, carts. They're bringing the hay," is probably quite absurd.

Nope. No reason needed. Picture says it all.

I love the Sharpe series. Saw it ages ago on German television (german version - dreadful) and loved the story and of course fell in love with Sean. Who wouldn't. Loved it so much that I bought the videotapes. Loved it even more because I bought the English version. German movie translations more often than not appear somewhat haphazard. And it is simply not the same as listening to the actor's "real" voice. I'm still disappointed that I didn't get a chance to see Hidalgo in the English version. So you can very well imagine that I almost melted when I heard Sean's voice for the very first time.

Indeed. He could read the dictionary and it'd be sexy.

And would earn millions of Euros/Pounds/Dollars-whatever. The new audiotape bestseller: Sean Bean reading the OALD. Masses of women can be seen mobbing bookshops:-)
