Yes, Paris challenged Menelaus to fight a duel over Helene to end the war. The gods decide to interfere so the war god fights on Menelaus' side and Aphrodite decides to save Paris. She carries him over the walls of Troy, back to safety but gets cut in the process. I have read a version where she sits on Zeus' lap and whinges about what that nasty Ares has done :)
