In the process of packing I found this in an folder with other bits and pieces. I don't remember where it was going or what the plot was. I don't remember if this was the beginning or a passage from the middle or all there was.
With the two fics I'm working on at the moment I almost screwed this up and threw it out, then I thought I'd put it here instead:

So this is an offering, a challenge, if you will. Here is a passage I wrote. Take it and make it into a fic. Start with it, end with it, write it from another pespective, whatever you want.

Vigorlijah

"Why?" he asks, blue eyes wide with wonder.

Orlando sighs. They've been through this before. "Just because," he replies before closing the gap between them and pressing his mouth to Elijah's.

For a moment the younger man melts against him, then there is a clatter as Viggo drops something in the kitchen and Elijah jumps back in fright, his eyes darting to the door with guilt.

"It's okay," Orlando soothes.

Elijah squeaks out a breathless laugh. "How is it it okay?" he asks in a hurried whisper. "Your boyfriend's in the other room and you're kissing me."

"Don't you want me to kiss you?"

Elijah had the grace to blush. "I do want that, it, I... uh..."

"What about Viggo?" Orlando interupts.

"Viggo?" Elijah's voice really is a squeak now.

"Do you want Viggo to kiss you?"

honestly? i think it's great the way it is! it paints a scene really well while leaving the details and resolution kind of ambiguous. (and i'm not usually a big fan of shorter fics.)

i'd certainly be happy to read more of it, just wanted you to know it could easily stand as a finished product!

I second that. This is a perfect little moment all on it's own. Of course I *do* usually like shorter fics, because I often find possibilities more exciting than certainties.

Don't change a thing.

Oh dear gods...that's fantastic. I think you should keep it tucked away and come back to it when you have the time.

*thinks* I'm not sure I've ever read a Vigorlijah. *melts at the thought*

Hehe, I'm glad you like it. There isn't any more and to be honest I doubt there will be, which is why I'm offering it up for anyone else to take and finish should they wish.

I'm glad you like it! I really have no recollection of where it was going so I doubt there will be more.

I've written one other short Vigorlijah, Clutter.
