but if it's a kids' film, the reference would fly over their heads, whilst drawing in huge crowds of older (but not necessarily more mature) people who cracked up. I admit this is possibly the naive view, but if it's been done intentionally it is a very good marketing ploy.

still don't see how it can be stupid - it can only increase the numbers wanting to see the film. but i'll submit to it not necessarily being intentional.

I meant stupid in that someone was stupid enough to approve it without thinking, not stupid in that it was a stupid tagline. And I'm not sure anyone would go see it for the tagline who wouldn't have already been going.
