That means we didn't catch the boat in front of us, but the boat behind us didn't catch us either. So we're in the same position in our next race (Thurs).
Obviously it's disappointing because we wanted to bump the boat in front, but it's significantly better than going down. And, since the boat in front also rowed over,we'll be chasing them again.
And we'll catch them.
We nearly caught them today even though our start was a complete fuck up (I'm not going to rant about the arse called DOM (our captain) who should have been there to count us in and was upriver chatting to his gf instead because he doesn't care about women's rowing because he's a chauvanist pig. Nope. Not gonna rant!) which meant our balance was out, I crabbed (lost my blade) for three strokes and although we (luckily!) pulled away from the boat chasing us, we were too far to regain ground.
