“Why do you linger now that the Aragorn is crowned? Do you not need to return at once to Edoras?” Eomer looked up as Legolas approached him. “Do your people not look for your return? Are you not king now that Theoden has passed to his fathers?”
“Yes,” Eomer replied, pulling the elf too him gently. “Yes, I must return to my people. And yet there is something here that holds me, that makes me want to stay.”
“Do not tarry on my account,” Legolas breathed as his lips brushed Eomer’s. “I would have you be strong for your people.”
