Orlando's school

My friend went to the girls' school down the road from the boys' school in Canterbury where Orlando Bloom went (no, she didn't know him. If she met him she doesn't remember because there was no reason to. She doubts if she did because she thinks that even without the fame thing she'd have remembered that pretty face). I think it's called St. Edmund's. Anyway, her brother is there now.
Am I right in thinking Orlando was kicked out? I know for he left early, but I'm unclear as to whether this was his choice or the school's.
The school apparently has pictures of him up all over the place and is really proud of him. Which amuses me even more if it's true that they expelled him.
edit: she also had the same music teacher as him. I'll confirm (I was pretty drunk when she told me) but I think she said it was the trombone he played.
