Mar. 9th, 2004 12:19 amRight, I shouldn't have complained. The dinner was lovely. It was in the 14th century hall and all candlelit. I sat between the former head of MI5 (who got very drunk!) and an eminent crusades historian who was very unimpressed with Kingdom of Heaven (unfortunately I couldn't get full details of the historical and political reasons since he too was drunk. I'll try once he's sober) and opposite a fellow from Christchurch Oxford (where they film the Great Hall in Harry Potter). And the food was good, which was a bonus.
