My dears, I just want to tell you how much I love you and this fandom. I'm proud to be part of something so vibrant and I feel lucky that our boys are so wonderful and encouraging to us. You brighten my days when I'm tired and fed up. I'm sorry I've not been commenting on my friendslist as much as I should lately, I've been very busy, but I want you to know that I have been reading it. And, like I said, you make me smile.

*kisses*

I can't stand it any more. The boys on my course are slashers even if they don't know it. I thought it was just hysteria at our complete lack of knowledge last night, but now I'm getting emails like this:

Hahaha, for 'protectorship' spellcheck seems to want to insert either
'protector ship' or even more bizarrely 'protectors hip'- i think it should
definitely be the latter!
I definitely think somerset's resentment of york had something to do with
him exposing his protector's hip to the king. I think it was a case
of somerset wanting to see the hip for himself.

love Rob

I do love my boys!

Okay, so the boys are obviously getting more creative (not sure it's slash yet but they're going in the right direction). You have no idea how much this is amusing me and I'm supposed to be writing an essay about these characters.

Myne deer and moste veryle noble kinge,

I hate thee. Thou art an imbicile and incapable offye rulyng thys realme. Thy indecision in choosyng betwixt the Somerset and York as bedmates hath rent thys countie in twain. And now my honourable sonne, John, hath return’d home and wyll not sitte because thou hath caused him grete payne. I shall visite thee myselffe and beateth thee into a state of catatonia and thee shalle ne’er grow up.

Thy hummbel subject,

Agnes Paston.

(Agnes Paston was one of the members of the Paston family whose letters survive and tell a lot about gentry life in fifteenth century. In one letter her daughter-in-law tells her husband of how she beats her daughter. Also, HenryVI did go into a state of catatonia in 1453)
