Date: 2004-10-28 01:26 pm (UTC)But I did like the part about fanfic introducing readers again to that original feeling of wonder and excitement when you first started to read stories, and I totally agree with that. I got that sense of wonder a bit in college, when I was finally old enough to be able to understand the themes of the fiction I was reading...hee...and we got to read the unedited versions of Shakespeare's and Chaucer's works...lol. But since then I've had kind of a drought and entering the fanfic world really made me get back into that rabid, excited reading I used to do when I was a kid. (well, now I'm a *bit* more excited...*snerk*)
Thanks for sharing!
