Well, it's hardly a surprise that I ended up writing this after last night's episode...

Title: Together
Fandom: Merlin
Pairing: Arthur/Lancelot/Merlin (Lancelot/Merlin, Lancelot/Arthur and Arthur/Merlin and all three)
Rating: R
Spoilers: ep 5
A/N: Lancelot was obviously sleeping in Merlin's room. Clearly the programme makers wanted this to happen.

At first it is uncomfortable )

So, which next? The futurefic, a threesome with Morgana, a porny fic?
aleathiel: (Arthur smirk openskiles)
You were warned. I want to play in the shiny baby fandom!

Title: Livery
Fandom: Merlin (won't make much sense if you read it as general Arthurian!)
Pairing: Merlin/Arthur
Rating: PG

Summary: Arthur has something for Merlin.
Disclaimer: Not mine.

AN: Written for the [livejournal.com profile] tamingthemuse prompt Claddagh

Five weeks ago the BBC started showing a new family-friendly TV drama in the Dr Who Saturday evening slot. This programme is called Merlin.

It's a deliberately unconventional version of the Arthurian legends with Merlin, Arthur (*points to icon*) et al as young adults.

I was not going to write in this new fandom. I really wasn't.

But then, four episodes in, Merlin started writhing around on the bed in fevered dreams calling out, "Arthur.. Arthur!... Faster, go faster!"

Any ability to not write them was gone.

And so, because this is a baby fandom of just four episodes (five is on Saturday) and there are many people on my flist who haven't seen it (Go download! It won't take long to catch up!) I present you with a bit of background with caps ready for the likely influx of porn fics:

Here be dragons )

Okay, I don't know where this one came from!

Title: Night Whispers
Fandom: Umberto Eco's The Name of the Rose (is it a fandom if it seems unlikely anyone else has ever written for it?)
Pairing: William/Adso (with mention of Adso/peasant girl)
Rating: PG
Summary: Adso wants to rescue the girl.
AN: Written without a copy of the book available. Apologies for errors. Written for the [livejournal.com profile] tamingthemuse prompt "A rolling stone crushes toes".

This is a much-belated Liam Neeson/Orlando Bloom fic for [livejournal.com profile] angiepen.

Angie: The complicated (read: long!) AU fic of this pairing that I started is sitting in my WIPs file until I figure out how to make it work. Someday I'll post that one too. For now, there is this one.

Title: Persistence
Fandom: Kingdom of Heaven RPS (I guess!)
Pairing: Liam Neeson/Orlando Bloom
Rating: light R?
Disclaimer: All made up.

AN:: AU in so far as Liam isn't married.

Contains the [livejournal.com profile] tamingthemuse prompt "Cavort".

Read the fic )

In other news, I'm really starting to like the idea of having a go at [livejournal.com profile] tamingthemuse.

This would mean some fic (from any fandom I fancy, probably varying frequently) or original story every week.

I'm away next week, then starting my masters at the end of September, so I won't be starting until then and I've had a chance to assess the workload. But after that...

And then I have to decide about Nano 08 too, and whether I want to do that.

Narnia RPS

This doesn't have a title. It was written as an amalgam of two requests from here but didn't quite end up like what I was intending to write for either of them.

Narnia RPS
Ben/Will/Skandar
Probably NC17, but only just.
Summary: The boys get drunk and think swimming might be fun
Disclaimer: Not resembling the truth, as far as I know

After the Fight

Peter/Caspian
NC17

Written both for a prompt here and for [livejournal.com profile] iscaris who wanted Caspian on his knees

read it here

*points up* That is the sound of my fanfiction writing muscles as they are flexed and all the rust starts to flake off...

As a warm up, here is a little PWP that I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] angiepen after watching Prince Caspian. I don't even know if there are suitable Narnia RPS communities in which one is allowed to post this kind of thing. Will look.

Title: Teach Me
Fandom: Narnia RPS
Pairing: Liam Neeson/Ben Barnes
Rating: NC17
Summary: Ben wants to learn from Liam.
A/N: This is Angie's fault entirely :P

Read it here

Also, I have updated my ignored fic index.

So, what shall I write next? I am interested in a Peter/Caspian FPS. But I'm happy to be led astray in another direction.

CHAMPIONS!

Fiction

I've decided to post original fiction that I've been writing here rather than in alea_nano (although obviously my various nano things are there). I've made a filter with the people who have a) asked to be on the nano journal b) previously mentioned an interest in original fiction. If I have missed you and you can't see the posts but would like to, then leave a comment and I'll add you.

Yes, it's been a thousand years and I'm sorry. I hope everyone is well.

Just in case anyone fancies reading it - I'm going to be attempting Nanowrimo again this year. I'll be posting at [livejournal.com profile] alea_nano like last year. Leave a note here if you'd like to be added.

Hiya.

I'm finally back in the UK and back at a real computer that I can understand. There's no point in pretending that I can fit right back into LJ, I know it's going to take some time. We shall see what happens. But I wanted to say hello again to everyone and that I hope you have all had a wonderful few months.
aleathiel: (Default)
Hello everyone. Am trying to navigate LJ in Spanish, which is a challenge.

Am now in Ecuador, having spent the last month travelling up through Peru, via Lake Titicaca, Machu Picchu, Nazca, Lima, Mancora Beach and others. It´s been a wonderful mix of culture, history, partying, sightseeing and wild activities like paragliding, white water rafting and sandboarding.

I miss you all, and hope that everyone is well and happy. Hope there haven´t been any huge fallings out or crises in my absence.

Right, I'm off. I'm headed down to meet my friend in London, then we're flying on Weds morning. Bye!
aleathiel: (Default)
Just to let you know, I'm about to go travelling for three months and while I will have access to the internet some of the time, I won't be reading my flist much.

I realise that I've hardly posted for months, but I have been commenting on other people's posts and that is not very likely to continue until I get back.

I'm going to Bolivia, travelling up through Peru to Ecuador, spending a few days at a jungle lodge, taking a cruise around the Galapagos islands, then flying up to Mexico, exploring there for a while before headed up to California. At the end of May I'm flying out of San Francisco to Singapore for a week before heading back to London.

EDIT: I'm flying out on Weds the 28th of Feb and landing back at Heathrow on 7th June.
aleathiel: (Default)
I've discovered that my boyfriend's best friend (who is naturally a good friend of mine too) has used a piece of, shall we say, slightly pornographic fiction that I wrote as the text with which to demonstrate how the computer program he is writing for his finals works.

"I needed something with lots of sentences and paragraphs," he said. "This has lots of words."

Um, yeah?

ROFL.
aleathiel: (Default)
Why do English rugby fans sing Swing Low Sweet Chariot? It's such a bizarrely incongrous choice of anthem that there has to be some reason behind it.

EDIT: It's okay, Wiki knows all
aleathiel: (Default)
I know this is something of a random post, and I guess I don't really expect to get a good answer, but if anyone knows anything I'd be really grateful!

I'm writing some original fiction in which one of the main characters is a silversmith. Sort of c16 or c17th setting, so not using modern mechanical methods.

Does anyone have any idea where I can find information about handcrafting silver? Sort of in the Paul Revere kind of way, if that makes it any clearer. With crucibles and a furnace and so on.
aleathiel: (Default)
Pairing: Jack/Ianto (Torchwood)
Rating: Probably R. Maybe NC17.
Title: Smile

Notes: Razzle, my love, I have to admit that perhaps my brain is no longer the clone of yours: I have to confess I haven’t read this pairing at all – not even yours yet. I want to watch the second half of the series before I do. So I apologise profusely if this is totally unoriginal, but then again, it’s just a little smutlet so I doubt if you will mind that much!
Note 2: Um, fuck knows where this came from. They didn’t end up behaving as I thought they would! I thought Jack would be in charge. Ha.
